Advice choosing a Self-Directed IRA custodian?

Hi BP community!

Are any of you contributing to a self-directed IRA? What company do you use as your provider/custodian?

I currently have a 401k with a small match through my job but I do not think that will be sufficient for my retirement goals. As an aspiring real estate investor I like the idea of being able to invest in real estate, notes, metals, and lend privately to others through a self-directed IRA. I am specifically looking for companies with a proven track record of transparency and competitiveness in their fee structures and excellent customer service. Your feedback on who to open a self-directed IRA with would be amazing. Thanks!

@Josane Cumandala. I would look into Quest IRA and CamaPlan based off of recommendations from investors that I know and respect. I use NuView and know some people that recommend them. I had an issue, though, and may be switching, most likely to one of the two I mentioned.
