After inquiring about a small single family, the realtor told me there is a tax lien on the house. Is there a way to find out how much it is? From what I’ve read these are public record but I can’t find the details anywhere.

@Andrea Chester First of all it doesn't matter. That is normally the sellers responsibility to take care of. The obvious thing to do is ask the agent. how did he or she find out. If title work has been done ask the title company.

You can do a title search at the courthouse. It should be recorded.
