Anyone familiar with Certified Tax Coach?

Hi. I am new to BiggerPockets. I read a few discussions recently about WealthAbility and how few had any experience with them. I found this other group called Certified Tax Coach (https://www.certifiedtaxcoach.com/) that help with tax strategies and tax savings. Has anyone ever heard of them or used them?

Certified Tax Coach is a fluffy title not backed by the IRS or the AICPA.

They teach some big picture tax planning, but the bulk of the course is how to sell these big tax planning engagements.

It's not any type of like an accredited credential in the tax industry.

@Paul Harrity yes, as one, I can explain more. To the point above, the only credential that matters is CPA because its regulated. However, doesnt discount their education, which members go through 2x per month and it certainly is not “fluff”. The do preach being proactive and non hourly billing, which I believe in. Too many in our profession focus on annual tax prep vs proactive, concierge type services that actively reduce their clients’ tax bills.

Certified Tax Coach teaches accounting professionals how to bilk their clients for maximum fees, which Tax Coach in turn does to those seeking the Certified Tax Coach certification by charging large monthly fees on top of the required classes and conferences.

And yes, it's not a "real" credential, just something they dole out to the tax professionals who spend ridiculous amounts of money for their services.

You can find good accountants who will work pro-actively for you without all the monkey business.

I'm not sure about that particular group, but I would highly recommend contacting one of the tax pro here on the Bigger Pockets forums.

Search around and you'll find some highly talented tax pros that work remotely with clients all over the U.S.
