Tim Matthews
Posted

Hello,

I am beginning my real estate investment venture soon starting in the Chicago area and would like to talk to a CPA. Please recommend to me some very good CPAs. Thank you!

@Tim Matthews when you talk to a CPA keep in mind that there are two separate things you are looking to do. One is tax compliance (filing your tax returns) and then there is tax strategy. Tax strategy is what most investors think their CPA does for them, but you need to be explicit about how this is done. In my case, I pay my CPA and accountant for a quarterly meeting to review before our quarterly filings.
