Dallas TX tax advisor recommendation?

Question

I’m at the point where I’m saving for my first rental, so I need a good CPA to help me while I start planning my asset protection and taxes. My current CPA doesn’t own any real estate, isn’t much into asking me questions, and hasn’t exactly helped me cut back my taxes, so I want to replace him. I need someone that will ask me questions, because I don’t know what I don’t know. Any recommendations in the Dallas area?

I recommend finding an accountant that specializes in real estate taxation over one that is local. You may want to consider working with your accountant remotely to expand your options.     I would also recommend looking for a tax strategist who is willing to work with you throughout the year, not just when preparing your tax return. You want an accountant that can help you strategize and who is responsive when you want to know the tax consequences of the decisions you are making throughout the year.Good luck and let me know if I can be of assistance.

You have 3 great ones in your backyard.... David Bradley is a super smart CPA in North Dallas.  Also runs a mortgage company and has for many years.  Iĺl say 20+ or more.   There is also Mia Reeves and Beth Williams, both also popular with real estate investors.
