HELOC loan for STR

Posted

Looking to take out a HELOC to renovate an old barn to STR with waterfront views in rural NJ. I'll have to hook it up to the septic system and add repair flooring. Is STR lucrative in Hunterdon County NJ? Willing to change to LTR if STR demand is low.

Hi @JHamellia Livingston STR can be tough, it varies town to town in NJ. Good News is more rural towns tend to be more relaxed with laws around STR. MTR on other hand may be something to look into and long term is pretty much in demand throughout entire state.
