In Need of Mentoring and Exposure

Hey Guys,

Four years ago a colleague of mine introduced me to the bigger pockets podcast and I have been an avid listener since then. Last year, a few months after purchasing my primary residence, I took the leap and bought my first flip.

While leverage knowledge from books, podcasts, talking to peers at meetups, Facebook groups, I connected with a great contractor, real estate agents, and subcontractors. This helped the rehab process go relatively smoothly... or so I thought.

Then came the time for disposition and it has been very stressful. From it raining a lot the night before the property going active which brought to light foundation issues hidden behind the pre-existing finished basement paneling. Foundation issues I was not aware of. To furnace complications and more.

Ultimately, the property is under contract currently with a reasonable path forward and I have learned a lot more during this process that no books or podcasts could have thought me. But a lot of these issues could have been avoided if I just had more experience.

All, this to say, I want to continue investing in Real Estate but the pace I wish to do that cannot be directly proportional to the experience I gain. I wish to continue gaining exposure while working under and being mentored without necessarily leveraging my money.

If any investors, realtors, wholesalers in the Columbus area has been thinking to themselves, "I have a lot of little tasks like touring properties, checking on contractors, following up with potential clients but I can't find the time to do these things". I am THAT guy that can help with that.
