Please help! I need a CPA!

It seems there is a shortage of CPAs... Especially ones who know what they are doing.  All I want from a CPA is to understand real estate (I am a real estate broker with rentals/flips) who can pick up the phone when I call to ask a question(maybe 2 times a year).  My current CPA incorrectly filed my taxes as a C Corp instead of S Corp and now I am on hold with the IRS trying to fix it.  In the meantime, I seem to get quarterly bills for $900 and I'm not really sure what they are doing.  I live in northern California.

No self-respecting CPA is going to pick up the phone when you call, sorry. Neither will your doctor or attorney. You need to schedule such a call, and it is normally not free.

Here is a long post on this topic, with #7 specifically addressing phone calls:

Filing an S-corp as a C-corp is not just a mistake. It is not like some checkbox on a form. It's a completely different set of forms. Besides, they could not file it without you signing off on it. So you must have signed on it as a C-corp. There was some break in communication between you two, and I can't blame one side or the other not knowing the details.

And this situation cannot get "fixed" by calling the IRS. You need to find someone who will re-file it for you correctly. Calling the IRS is a waste of time in this situation.
