MF Property Search in Austin, TX
Hello all. I have recently decided to start looking for a MF (duplex or quadplex) instead of holding onto a single family that has proved not to be cashflow friendly. This would be a primary homestead for me and likely financed on an FHA loan. Ideally, I'm looking for something that covers most or all of the PITI from renting the other unit(s). That being said, Austin is a highly priced/competitive market and I've had difficulty finding any units that are worth looking into in the Austin area. I wanted to ask what experience others have had in this market on the MF side? And what challenges I should be aware of in making this move? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
