Hi everyone,

Looking for an efficient general contractor for a garage conversion and bathroom installation at our new place.

One thing I would suggest is never do a garage conversion, unless it is a standard for the neighborhood.  There are a few neighborhoods around DFW where maybe a 2/1 750-950 sqft is turned into 3/2 with the 1 car garage conversion.  However for the most part if it is a 2 car garage neighborhood, these conversions probably decrease value or make resale tougher.  Most buyers don't see it as a value add, but loss of the garage and especially in Texas will most often choose the garage vs extra interior space.
