Quit Claim Deed & Business Structure Assistance

Todd Mikowski
Posted

I bought my first rental property last year, have renovated it and started renting the property in the last few months. Now that things have settled, I want to put the property in my LLCs name and setup a structure for future growth.

For structure I'm thinking LLCs to a Trust but looking for advice.

If anyone in Michigan has a suggestion for lawyer experienced in real estate law and business structure establishment, I'd be interested in talking with them.

    Hello Todd,

Congratulations on getting your first rental property last year. LLCs and Trusts can be a great tool to help provide asset protection and anonymity with a structure that can protect you from business liability and your businesses from personal liability. Different Trusts can be used such as Land Trusts, Personal Property Trusts, and Living Trusts.
