Built an Instagram-style app for real estate deals - would love your feedback
Hey BP community
I've been lurking here for years and finally built something I think you'll find useful. It's called Houser- Social Real Estate - think Instagram, but every post is a property listing or a DIY project.
Why I built this:
I got tired of scrolling through Zillow's endless listings without knowing what I'm actually looking at. Is this a flip? A cash flow play? A vacation rental opportunity?
What makes it different:
Instead of just listing properties, Houser uses buyer persona tags so you can instantly filter for your strategy:
- #CashFlow - Rental income opportunities
- #Flippers - Fix & flip deals
- #Vacation - STR/Airbnb potential
- #BelowMarket - Motivated sellers
- #FixerUpper - Value-add opportunities
- #Waterfront, #Luxury, #ForeverHome, etc.
Plus:
- Community price estimates - See what the crowd thinks it's really worth (not just Zestimate)
- Follow other investors - Their finds show up first in your feed
- Comments - "I flipped a similar property in this neighborhood, here's what I learned..."
Currently available:
- iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/houser-social-real-estate/id67...
We're starting in Orlando but planning to expand based on user demand.
Looking for:
- Honest feedback from actual investors
- What markets should we add next?
- What features would make this actually useful for your investing strategy?
Not trying to replace your MLS access or anything - just a better way to spot opportunities and connect with other investors who are actually doing deals. Anyone else feel like the current tools are built for homebuyers, not investors? Or am I solving a problem that doesn't exist? 😅
