Short-Term Rental Deals Just Got More Flexible

Short-term rental deals are starting to open up again in a more practical way.

A few things that stand out:

  • Short-term rental scenarios allowed in supported markets
  • Up to 80% of projected income (AirDNA-supported markets)
  • Minimum FICO starting at 660
  • Reduced DSCR requirements depending on profile
  • Lower reserve requirements:
    • 6 months (U.S. borrowers)
    • 9 months (foreign nationals)
  • Expanded liquidity options, including cash-out and HELOCs

Small adjustments in reserves, DSCR, or structure can completely change whether a deal works.

If you're analyzing a rental or STR deal, it might be worth taking another look.

If you want help reviewing a scenario, feel free to share it.

Investment properties only. Terms subject to underwriting, credit, property, and market conditions. Not a commitment to lend.
