Structural Engineer Needed for 3-Unit Under Contract — Franklin Park, IL

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations for a structural engineer in the Franklin Park / Cook County / Chicago suburbs area.

Buyer is under contract on a 3-unit property built in the 1960s, and we want someone to inspect visible foundation cracks before moving forward. We’re looking for an independent structural engineer — not just a foundation repair company trying to sell repairs.

Ideally looking for someone who can provide:

• Foundation/crack inspection
• Written report
• Photos/findings
• Opinion on whether cracks appear cosmetic or structural
• Repair recommendations if needed
• Quick turnaround because we’re within the inspection/attorney review period
