Looking for Construction Lending for a 3 Unit STR

Stephen Shaw
Posted

I'm building a new 3 unit STR in northern NH next to the White Mountain National Forest in Dalton, NH. All permitting and pricing is complete. Looking for 500k construction type loan to convert a DSCR after it's up and running. 6 acres of land which has been purchased. 3,700 sq feet for structures.

If this fits your target market, please reach out.

Stephen, the combination of owned land, completed permitting, and a clear bridge-to-DSCR exit strategy is typically a much stronger story than a ground-up project still in the entitlement phase.

For a construction lender, the key underwriting points will likely be:

  • Total project cost and borrower equity
  • Construction budget and timeline
  • Experience with STR operations
  • ARV support
  • Projected DSCR once stabilized

Northern New Hampshire and the White Mountains continue to attract year-round tourism, but lenders will still want to see that the projected STR income supports the refinance takeout.

I'd be interested in reviewing the project details. Feel free to send me a DM with the budget, plans, and projected operating numbers.
