Apartment building insurance.......... Need help

Hey everyone.Looking at purchasing 20 units.

My normal carrier USAA I called the commercial insurance unit.They only insure all brick and because the buildings are 1981 and frame with siding they will not insure.They only insure brick of 30 years or older if it has all new plumbing,wiring,roof,etc.USAA uses Heart Ford and Travelers.

The insurance agent told me I need to find an insurer that specializes only in apartment buildings of this type of construction and age.

Anybody know a company direct?? Trying to avoid an insurance broker so that I can get it written directly for the best possible price.

I'm a commercial broker. I've found I have a hard time competing with Farmers, American Family and State Farm on the apartments... all direct writers. I have an agent I could refer you to if needed let me know.
