It's Going to Be OK!
You can't control who wins the election. You just can't. You can place your one vote and that's it. Most of life you can not control. This fact causes more pain and suffering than any disease ever has. Lamenting, worrying, talking, fighting, and arguing over things you can't control really does any good. BUT THERE IS ONE THING YOU CAN CONTROL-HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT THE EVENTS YOU CAN NOT CONTROL. Using this power wisely brings peace, not using this power brings pain and suffering. So use it! Use it wisely.
If Biden wins, I'm going to be OK. If Trump wins, I am going to be OK. How do I know? How can I be absolutely sure? I can't. It is just going to be OK. I KNOW it. I cling to that truth and it is truth based on a long history of watching real-life unfold. Think about some of the things you have worried about the most. IN the end, it ends up OK. My first born son caused me all sorts of grief in his school years. I worried about him and my other kids. I lamented perceived parenting "mistakes" and I certainly can not claim the prize of "world's greatest mom". In the end, he ended up OK. He works with me, is young and successful, he is a good kid. All the worrying did nothing but keep me on edge....it ended up OK. That is how it is with all of life, in the end, it ends up OK.
So stop worrying, stop talking about it. Go vote and leave the rest to God. Exercise the power to control your mind. When fear or anxiety creeps up, speak truth to it. "This election can not affect me, everything will end up OK". Brian, this election CAN affect me. IF XYZ wins, he will do this or that. Really?
1. You don't know this for sure....even if a president promises to do something during the campaign he often does not follow through.
2. You don't know for sure how it will affect you. Have you ever had a situation you thought was going to be bad and it ended up being a blessing in disguise? Of course, you have, we all have. Let it go. You run a good business, you are a good person. It WILL end up OK. So stop worrying about it. Be positive, work hard, and enjoy the ride. YOU CAN CONTROL THAT. You can control your emotions. So do it. Have fun!
