Reducing Expenses — Small Win This Week (Car Insurance)!
Had a small but huge win this week in the personal finance category!
Car insurance was coming up for renewal. My wife and I together had been paying $1,129 every 6 months with Allstate (we live in South Florida so insurance is much higher in general).
Decided to call around and get quotes for different places. Ended up switching to Progressive and now we pay $845 every 6 months!
30 minutes of talking on the phone equated to saving $568 per year!
This may not seem like that much but every penny counts on the journey to FI!

@Jenna Cheramie That is a huge savings for just 30 minutes of work. $568 per year adds up quickly and can be invested elsewhere. You have reminded me that I need to start shopping around for both my car and homeowner's insurance as well. Congratulations on the win.
