I just answered a question where I thought a secured credit card might be the solution so I decided to search for the topic. I realize your post is old but I wanted to weigh in. I absolutely love secured cards and there are some great ones out there. I have a cash back one that matches rewards for 1 year so I'm using for all my expenses so I can earn the cash back plus the match. However, if I stopped spending close to my limit it would certainly help my credit score. Feel free to message me if you want to know which card I have. I don't want to do any free advertising on here lol. I realize there are tons to choose from and it may feel a little shady at times but secured credit cards have gone mainstream and they are very helpful
