How to get rid of debt?

Hi,

I have been working as an engineer for the past 2 years. Due to my workload and pressure I was not able to enjoy my family life and thought of taking a break for a while and I took 2 months break. I was very happy to sit at home and take care of my family members.
last day I had a call from the company saying that you are rejected by the company which made me shocked because we had all the bills on the queue. We were paying those bills with my salary and saving t my husband's salary for the future.Then we thought to manage with his salary till I find a new one. But that couldn't happen and found that the debts are increasing.We shared this problem with our friends and they suggested the debt consolidation services in etobicoke. What do you people think about it? If you have got any experiences or suggestions, kindly share it.

I am not sure I follow all of that but debt consolidation is rarely the solution. I would advise you to be careful with your spending while you are looking for a job, make a list of your debts and pay them off smallest to largest (Dave Ramsey Style). Make sure you are paying at least the minimums on everything. If you are unsure of all of your debts you can find them for free on a credit report on www.annualcreditreport.com.  Its hard to know what advice to give with such limited information provided.
