Anybody travel hacking while running rentals or a flip/live-in flip business? We tried it for three months, did not go well.

That's why I refer to it as cattle hacking. Travel about the same, if you can even get a date you like on standby. Moo! LOL

I can see trying this as an overseas-American(?) .  True reason to fight with it.

I just laugh when people use it in the context of FI. That's not FI. That's FT, Financially Tethered.  

Yep, I'm financially independent but have to conform to the rules of 30 credit cards, run up my spending into the hundreds of thousands while jugglng all this crap and revolving payment dates and clipping coupons on the side to save $648. FI?  Whatever.
