Forbearance for beginner investor?

I need some advise on forbearance.

I recently lost my job and I'm considering whether I should place my mortgage in forbearance. Is an FHA loan.

Or I should pay it with some cash I had saved up. I’m looking for work but it’s kinda of hard right now.

I wanted to start investing this year and I don’t want to create a road block with this.
