Wedding Registry for the Financially Savvy.... HELP!

For all the married people out there; what do yall recommend to put on a wedding registry????

My fiance and I plan to get married in April next year, and neither of us are really materialistic and are looking towards the path of financial independence. So from a FIRE point of view, what items are reasonable to actually ask for or should we ask for money or gift cards only? I don't know how all this wedding stuff is supposed to work lol.

My thoughts are maybe just cooking wear, kitchen items, nice vacuum, and tools. Any other "Necessities" or "Treat yourself" items?

If you would buy it put it on your registry.  Now you might put things down that are of better quality then you would get/afford  yourself.  For example a high quality pan will last a long time but when you are getting married you might not spend that much money on a pan but someone else might be glad to do that. Put things down at all price points, maybe you have friends that have lower budgets. If you really don't have tools you can put in down but it might not be a popular gift. Kitchen stuff is more popular.   A couple of other ideas are soft goods like sheets and towels.  People who give money will give money but some people are always gift people and you need to help them with their choices.
