Lakewood, OH Real Estate

I interested in becoming a new rental owner, and am looking into buying a rental property near the Cleveland/Lakewood border. I know the crime rate is higher here than other areas, but am curious:

-Is the area improving? Lakewood, in general, is drawing many more couples, but I'm not sure if they are only moving to more centrally located areas and the Rocky River/Lakewood border.

-Do these properties often have lots of vacancies?

Any information related to Lakewood, OH rentals would be great, thanks!

One thing to consider in Lakewood versus Cleveland, is that the property taxes are higher.

That being said, I have heard nothing but good things about Lakewood rental market. My property manager focuses on Lakewood and the Westside of Cleveland.
