How to get SSN for a judgement?

I had an inherited tenant that stopped paying rent more than a year ago. We have a judgement against her for 15k, I do not have her SSN to begin the collection process. Any recommendation on how to go about this?

If you already have the judgment, it is public record. A SSN is not a requirement to trying to actually collect. Talk to an experienced collections attorney or a collection agency. You could also sell your judgment

This is gonna be a tough road.  Are you able to get the application from the former landlord? I've sent former tenants to collections before, but I have never seen the money.  Like trying to get blood from a turnip.

Hey Anjali,

Sorry to hear you are dealing with this. From my experience with attorneys they typically would like all information that you can provide in order to get a judgement. For example if your tenant is employed, where do they work and which branch/contact info so that the attorney can contact their employer to get lien.
