Dealing with Nested Animals

Hey all, I have a triplex and one of my tenants has a squirrel's nest above her unit. What's the easiest and most effective way to deal with this situation? I am considering knocking the nest down myself. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks in advance!

I would try animal control from fish and game. You do want the nest gone but the babies need to be considered as well. IMO
