Creating a lease for Spanish speaking

Robert Medina
Posted

Hello so I have a single family home that I have done a rehab on and the area is heavily populated with Spanish speaking families and I am not fluent in Spanish and my question is “do I have to supply a Spanish lease?” I am thinking I might be able to have prospective renters find someone to help translate the application and lease agreement and hit the main agreements but it’s proving to be a little difficult and I’m not sure if I have to supply a Spanish lease agreement. If I do need to have one in Spanish is there a company or place that someone knows of that can assist me with this. And maybe having an acknowledgment of understanding form written up would be a good idea  Thanks

@Robert Medina  while it is a noble pursuit, I would worry about various meanings and spirit in translation of a legal document, and if it got to court how might a judge view the lease. So I would not use it no matter what. I respect people's inability to understand a foreign language-heck I used to be one of those folks myself.
