Has anyone used Radius Realty?

Hi! My wife and I have a single family home in the Spanish Lakes area of St Louis MO (just north of St Louis). We have owned it for just over a year and our first tenant ended up needing to be evicted for not paying rent. He also left the place in a mess. We are wondering how to learn from this experience and choose a better Tenant. Since our management company does the screening we were thinking about shopping around for a different one. Has anyone on here used Radius Realty as their management company? What was your experience? Who would you recommend?

I have been with Radius for 4 years. Very frustrating to work with them for the following reasons.

• -No one at the company knows what is going on with my portfolio nor do they care
• -They significantly overcharge for repairs and turnovers
• -Communication is horrible
• -It takes around 3-5 months to turn over a property
• -A turnover costs more than my entire years worth of cash flow from the property
• -They are not accommodating to specific requests
• -The way they track money is ridiculously inconvenient, incorrect and confusing so I have to manually do all the math myself

The only good thing about them is that they don't steal from you, they are honest. Unless you count overpriced services as stealing. They do also have some nice people. I hope this is helpful. Let me know if you found a good one.

@Tyson Evans you're in for a world of disappointment if you think the PMC is 100% responsible for a tenant not working out!

How is a PMC supposed to be liable if a tenant dies, loses their job, gets divorced, etc?
