How do I clean apartment air vents?

Hi all,

This isn't a post about rentals but I want to clean the air vents in my older Chicago apartment unit because they look pretty dirty. I did a DIY mold test on the surface and there are some evidence of mold, which I think is from the condensation during the summer months. I don't know how to the actual vents, however, since it's metal and the openings are pretty narrow. Any ideas?

Thank you
