Wood Fireplace Replacement Ideas

Greetings,

I have a few fireplaces I'm looking to get rid of in a 1976 duplex; not great photo below. Any specific ideas of how to do this while still having the face look ok? Electric fireplaces are an option, but the outlet is not right next next to the fireplace and getting an outlet installed in the fireplace seems expensive, and you're also stuck forever with an outlet on the fireplace.  Any photos would be much appreciated.
