Can I charge a tenant 6months upfront?

Hi All


I am new into real estate and being a landlord. I was wondering if its possible  or even legal to charge a tenant 6 months ?

 So are you running a charity or a business ? I have heard every story in the book, ( I have done 1ks  of move in and outs in the Cleveland markets )  This the exact reason why EVERY investor should hire a PM co, keep emotions out of it ,
