Bed Bugs In Apartment Unit

We have about 22 units in a Apartment Complex  and there are hallways on common areas!
One of the units found out have bed bugs, called an exterminator and their doing a Heat treatment! Now i am afraid that other units may get it???
Have anyone have this problem and how have you dealt  with ??
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Aloha,

Depending on the type of construction, you may find you need to treat at least one unit in every direction- left right, up, down, and across hall too if it is a central hallway.
