Welcome Home Gifts for tenants?

Question

Do any of y'all leave a welcome basket of some sort for your Long-Term tenants?

My team and I are wanting to add a special touch (outside of the 2+ inspections / year we do) to let our tenants know that we care for them. Nothing too complicated, but definitely thoughtful!

I say do what works for you. Many do nothing but if you listen to Dr. Joe and  a few others, they provide several expressions of hospitality. I have a serious class D property that has presented extensive problems for multiple years. Finally I have the best tenants I've ever had. They save me money, headache and seriously augments business productivity. I'm a very nice person by nature and these are the kinds of people that allow me to be myself. Most make me always lower and keep the hammer down. Either way, dont base this on what others think. I have done a few things here are there but am trying to decide on something that  will formally show them how much I value them as incredible tenants. They treat my property as if its theirs. It's no different than customer appreciation in my book.

@Maranda Tucker We don't do welcome baskets but as a token of appreciation we do provide our tenants with gift cards to local restaurants sometimes!

I do this for vacation rentals, but not for long-term rentals. It's a personal choice. I like to keep a business relationship. I treat tenants honestly, fairly, kindly, and even friendly, but I don't do anything that could be construed as building a personal relationship.

Nope..... this isnt a hospitality business. I provide a safe, clean and functional unit and that's how I show my appreciation of their tenancy.....they pay the rent. I'm not trying to "win" their business or get referrals from them.

I respectful with my tenants but I'm not here to make them feel all warm and fuzzy....
