Tile Floors

I have a 2 story condo in Chandler, Az.. Right now the entire first floor is tile and the stairs and second floor is carpet. I'm considering tiling the stairs and second floor and I'd like to know what your thoughts are on tiling stairs and second floors. Thanks in advance.
