Property manager, repairs fees, and who the bill is from

For those of you who use property managers and they have handled a repair who is the bill from ? and is there any invoice from the actual tradesperson if it comes from the property manager? The reason I ask is because the property manager managed a plumbing repair for us. (he did not notify me before or after - just sent the bill but that is another problem). The repair was for one of the tenants kitchen sinks. The bill came from the realty company for the repair although he also has a contracting company. Is that going to be sufficient in terms of accounting for expenses? I expect he marked it up but I was a little surprised that it came from him and he was not transparent about the markup. I think he used the cash plumber but I guess I will find that out when I talk to the tenant.
