Hello all, trying to find out best and cheap options for blinds for my units.

For average rentals, I generally advise Owners to NOT install blinds...or curtains...and especially not vertical blinds for their lanai doors!

Instead, we recommend properly and securely installing a good quality curtain track, with "wand" pulls (NO rope system), and ball bearing hanger guides. Tenants can provide their own curtains of choice, from local stores or online.

This removes an unnecessary maintenance issue from the Owner; allows Tenants to decorate to their taste AND helps instill some pride in "their" home.  By proper installation of quality tracks/rods, you don't have tenants damaging trim and walls putting up (or reinstalling previously existing) cheap, flimsy curtain rods. Plastic blinds are the worst...the string pull mechanisms are junk; vertical blinds self-destroy themselves between constant motion from wind, and cheap plastic hanger guides.

I have NEVER had a prospective Tenant comment negatively due to no curtains, and certainly never had one say it was a deal breaker. Do we provide "blackout" full drapes for certain units? Yes, but that is the exception, not the norm. Also, for executive level homes we DO provide blinds (usually wooden) and curtains/drapes as appropriate.
