Plumbing question about leaking that may be originating from your unit in a multi

Hello BP community,

I have a condo in a multifamily building where the tenant below me has water damage in their bathroom ceiling. It appear to be happening when the bath is running in my unit. I have a few questions about handling this situation:

- should I hire and pay for a plumber to go into their unit to cut open the ceiling and identify the source of the leak?
- or should I have the owner of the unit below me file a claim with their insurance?

- should the ceiling and walls in the unit below be mold tested and who should pay for that

thanks for any tips / advice !

Rob
