1 Month Deposit Max Question
I understand that the law in CA limiting landlords to a max of one month's deposit went into effect on July 1. Does anyone know if this applies if the applicant is volunteering a two-month deposit in lieu of a high credit score? She acknowledges that her credit is not great, due to a history with a former partner, but she makes sufficient income and is willing to put down more as a deposit.
