Does anyone use a Virtual Assistant for underwriting

Jay Patel
Posted

I am wondering if anyone uses a Virtual Assistant or something similar from abroad to help underwrite deals. I understand this is more of a specialty task to delegate. Would love to know where you are finding an individual to help with this.

That duty of course would be on top of the typical tasks of helping make calls and fill the pipeline, and organize/set meetings etc.

For the last 6 months I have been running my own deals to ground and have come close on a few larger multifamily deals (killed by the rate environment). But my issue is that the pipeline either runs dry on the top funnel or I cant get bids out fast enough. I work in real estate lending full time (agency, capital markets, etc.) and honestly need help moving deals through the funnel and someone that is either experienced or coachable would be great.

Aloha @Jay Patel, VA's are awesome if you properly train them. They are not plug and play if you want them hyper focused on your assigned tasks and done to your requirements. It requires the right person and some good mentoring, training and oversight. We classify our VA tasks in Tiers.

Tier 1 - Simple Admin Tasks and Intake

Tier 2 - Triage

Tier 3 -  Front Office (Calls, Setting, Appointments, Follow-up, Lead Gen, etc.)

Tier 4 - Back Office (Systems, CRM,  Billing, etc.)

Tier 5 -  Subject Matter Expert Tasks (high stakes work)

Most of our VA's do Tier 1 - 3. We have a few specialized VA's that do Tier 4 and 5. Please let me know if you want to chat, I would be glad to help!
