Awesome recommendation for a property management app?

Question

I'm about to rent out my first property and would love a recommendation on an app to use to screen applicants, submit maintenance requests, and receive rent.  Does anyone have a suggestion?

Hey, Denise. I, too, am in Richmond, VA. I use Apartments.com to manage my rentals. We have 6 units so far, and I manage all of them from application and background check through rental payments on Apartments.com. As long as the properties managed remain under 4 units a piece, it's FREE!  :-) Good luck with your first rental!

Hi Denise! This is exactly what a Property Manager does. There are a plethora of resources out there for your needs: Zillow, AppFolio, and Buildium come to mind as options that include tenant screening. I am going to send you a message also.

Hi Denise, I second Rentredi. I use it myself for my rental. It allows you to screen applicants, submit maintenance requests, and receive rent.

Appfolio is a good software to look into! I do know that the pricing varies based on the unit count as well as what level you sign up for; but overall, it's super user-friendly for tenants, PM's & owners.

Plus they're always updating their software and adding new automation features to make everything so simple as well as well as great customer support.
