Roach Aftermath in 3 unit Multifamily
I just bought a 3 unit building that had a recent roach infestation. There is one tenant still left but the tenants that were causing the roach problem are gone and the building has gone through several rounds of pest control. The current tenants say it’s much much better than before.
The unit that was most affected is the garden unit, and there is a distinct smell that is probably the dead roaches and leftover excrement. The previous owner did a lot of cleaning but there’s still evidence of the roach excrement once you get into the details. Particularly in the kitchen cabinets. The roach residue comes right off with vinegar so it wouldn’t be too bad to scrub them down, but the question is what is behind all the hard to reach places.
Is this kitchen salvageable or should I start new?
