Adding Additional Gas Meter to Multi Family Property

I'm acquiring this two family property with only one gas meter. I'm hoping to add a second gas meter and upgrade all HVAC so they are on their own gas. Has anyone gone through this process before with National Grid? How long does something like this take from the utility provider? What were the costs to do so before?
