Got that dreaded phone call , the toilet is stopped up , Went over to the rental prepared , had the big sewer snake ant the service truck .  Got there at 8 am this morning , after working 1 hour trying to clear roots we gave up .  Now I didnt want the tenants to not have a bathroom and the house is 60 years old . Went over to the shop and picked up the backhoe .  Dug down and found the pipe , it was orangeberger  pipe . Its basically a tar based sewer pipe .  Cut out a section to check and its packed full of roots .  Got 20 ft of new PVC in , but it got too hot  today , going back tomorrow to put in the rest , about 60 feet .  ( Dug a hole at end of pipe so they can flush ) .  Total materials $335 .
