Keeping your Banking Straight

Hi Everyone,

My husband and I are just starting out with being landloards in NC. I want to have everything run through separate banking accounts/credit cards, but we are not at the point where it makes sense to do an LLC. How do you structure your banking? Do you just open another joint account and nickname it something different? Are you able to open a 'business checking and savings' accounts? I'm finding more of the 'business' accounts out there are asking for a business TIN.

Thanks for any clarification!
