Virtual Assistant Property Manager

Hi everyone,

I’m a small investor who owns a handful of single-family rentals. Over the past few years, managing work orders and coordinating service providers (especially handymen) became one of my biggest headaches. Like many, I started with spreadsheets and emails, but things slipped through the cracks—missed repairs, delayed responses, and juggling everyone’s contact info.

Since I couldn’t find a simple, affordable tool that fit my needs as a small landlord (most options seemed built for much bigger portfolios), I decided to build a basic property manager app. It lets you:

  • Enter your properties and service providers (e.g., your favorite handyman).
  • Create work orders for issues.
  • Automatically notify the assigned handyman when a new work order is created.

Building the app cost me nothing since I am a software engineer, but now I’m wondering if this type of tool would help others in the community. Would easy work order notifications to handymen, for 1-25 unit portfolios, solve any problems for you? What features would you find useful, or what’s missing in your current setup?

I’d love your honest feedback, and if anyone wants to try it out, I’m happy to share early access in exchange for input. Thanks for reading!
