Lease to VA

Does anybody have experience leasing to VA (programs)? I am a little hesitant. I would be leasing out a room. What are the pros and cons? Do you feel it is riskier? Worried about damages? I am also a little worried about the potential for PTSD (just thinking of variables).

I love and am very respectful of veterans. I just don't want to get put in a bad situation.
