Investing Where I Live.

I have only been investing for about 18 months. In the last 6 months there has been a substantial amount of growth as my network is growing. As my network grows, I have more of my own tenants and also do maintenance/rehabs/tenants for other investors. My town is extremely small and it seems every place I go, including my front porch, I encounter tenants of properties I am involved with on some level. How do I set and what are reasonable boundaries? I don't want to sound like an *** but buddy I am at the park with my plethora of children and I've worked 12 hours in the sun today I really don't have time to have a therapy session. Some of their requests are valid but 80% of the conversations concern things that are completely irrelevant or the same tired complaints about their neighbors. I don't want to be viewed as scumbag but I want some time to myself sometimes.

Congratulations! — you've officially become the small-town landlord celebrity. 😄

That's a good problem to have, but it's important to protect your personal time. If you don't set boundaries, your front porch will eventually become the neighborhood customer service desk.
