Does Kansas have statute stating that rental property needs to be re-keyed between new tenants? If so, does anyone know where the statute can be found?

I know Texas has a re-key law under the Property Code.

Re keying is something you should be doing regardless of it being a law or not. You dont want to open yourself up to that liability.

This is what we do. We replace all door handles with Non Keyed handles so we only need to replace the deadbolts. Once you have enough properties you can just start rotating deadbolts between houses so you dont need to always buy new ones.
