What would you do on Super Bowl Sunday?

Question

Let me start by setting the stage. I am at a Super Bowl party last night with my wife and 8 month old son. It is 5 minutes into the game, I am enjoying the first few sips of my first beer and some food when my phone rings. It is my real estate agent and she tells me that she got a call from a neighbor of one of my rentals and the fire alarm is going off. The house is currently vacant because I just finished a rehab on it. I am 15 minutes away from the house and that is all the information my real estate agent has.

So, my questions is - What would you have done?

@Michael J. that is exactly what I did.  To continue this saga, I got a call again today that they were going off again.  So, a trip to get new smoke detectors and about an hour of my day today to install them and it should be all fixed up I hope.

I would have asked if there was any visible smoke and then called 911 if so or if not then rush over and see what was going on. Like you said the fire department might have broken a door to get in and check it.

@Jonna Weber  fortunately it was just a faulty smoke detector and was setting them all off.  I am also glad I got there before the fire department because they may have just knocked the door down to get in.  I rushed over there right away but didn't call 911.  A neighbor must have called them because they weren't far behind me.  Quite the landlord scenario, any other night and it would have been much more convenient.  Seems these things pop up at the worst times as I'm sure you all know.

Nothing changes.  Does not matter the neighborhood.  My town is an A town located in the center of one of the wealthiest counties in America.   We have had a string of drug related robberies over the past month all ranging from breaking and entry to a mugging of an old lady going to her car parked in her driveway.

Easy answer in my eyes.  Call police. Likely case of breaking and entry or possible fire both of which you do not want to handle alone or without the help of professionals.
