Property Management Overcharging? Pittsburgh, PA
Hey all,
I have a Pittsburgh property being managed by Aegis Property Management. I've been looking at the ledger and it seems like they charge me $95 every time they send someone out for any reason. For example they charged me $95 to plug in the oven, $95 to turn on a gas valve, and $150 to replace the water level thing in the toilet tank. Is this reasonable for the area? I know I get charged significantly less for similar things by my management in Ohio.
Thanks in advance!

Did they not call you prior to going to the property? My management company knows to call me first, I can decide to go myself, send my own guy, or let their guy go.
I've had to use their guy when on vacation twice and they charged me very little. I even got 3 lbs of refrigerant and a capacitor in the AC unit all for $120. Also, they only charged about $100 (labor) for an emergency hot water heater removal, trip to HD, and installation.
